Last Christmas, my uncle went around the room and gave each one of us a small, rectangular box. He said that his gift to us was the gift of life. A little melodramatic really but in a way he was telling the truth. When we opened up the boxes, we all got the same thing – pen knives. Well we didn’t know they were pen knives at first.

In fact one cousin asked my uncle what exactly a pen has to do with life. My uncle asked us to carefully unscrew the top half of our pens. When we saw that they were pen knives, everything finally made sense. These pen knives look exactly like the real thing, in fact they can be used to write too. Inside the pens however are 2.3 inch blades that can provide a person with some sort of personal defense against possible attackers.
