The idea is to stun the enemy to inaction. Stun devices send persons hit with it to electric shock. Because electricity is used and because it is non-lethal, there is a controversy about the legality of its use. Its immediate harm is pain, but experts say that continuous use can cause cardiac and other health problems. It might be a boon to people in distress but serious training on its use and possible side effects is necessary.
An M18 taser is just one such device. Claimed to be excellent for personal security, Tasers are non-lethal but effectively disabling. The big advantage is that it can be used from a distance. Modern designs are small and can easily fit in a handbag. It seems like a useful security devise but its use is filled with controversy. It is always a good idea to check with the police before getting a taser gun for personal use.

We don’t pray for disasters or emergencies but when they come, we are always thankful that we thought forward and composed a disaster first aid kit of some kind. Disaster first aid kits will vary for each individual or family. The contents will depend on what is thought to be more important. As much as we would like to put in all the tools and equipment needed for all kinds of emergencies, this is not possible. Composing a disaster kit involves a lot of thinking and planning.
We can compose our own kits or we can buy them ready made from the medical supply store, hardware or grocery. Because a disaster presupposes hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, fires and similar eventualities, our kit should contain supplies for treating emergency medical needs at least until help comes around. A working flashlight with batteries, some cutting implements and blankets should be included in the kit. A basic kit should be able to service a family but it will be a bonus if the kit should be able to service more people. In times of emergencies, we never know who and how many will be affected.

A good home security system need not be very expensive. If you can’t afford the high-tech gadgets that rich people have in their homes, you can still protect your family using more affordable alternatives. A window alarm, for example, can already alert you and prevent an intruder from trespassing into your home.
This tiny gadget attaches to windows and is set off by the vibrations caused by someone trying to break through. The alarm is a piercing 95 decibel that will alert you instantly and is likely to get a burglar spooked. It has a solid, state-of-the-art design and is battery operated.

Also, they can be used to make the door jam.

It is very important to have a self-defense product when you live or work in neighborhoods that are unsafe. You can choose from a variety of products that you can use to keep yourself safe. One great product is a cell phone stun gun.
A cell phone stun gun looks just like an ordinary cell phone. You can easily put it in your bag or pocket. Unless somebody will really take a look it, they will never know that it is a stun gun. And attackers beware. It might be a small device but it will definitely pack a punch. The current that will pass through the attacker will render him motionless. And this will give you enough time to get away from the scene.
