LED flashlights

Light Emitting Diodes or LEDs started being used in electronics and eventually made it to light sources. Today’s white LEDs are really blue ones that are covered with phosphorescent coating that glows when energized thus creating white light. LED flashlights are designed to deliver powerful and tight beams even under the most extreme conditions.

There are many advantages to using LED flashlights over incandescent bulbs:

~White LEDs give light that is more similar in color to normal sunlight
~LEDs provide beams in a narrower spectrum than incandescent bulbs which results to less beam diffusion
~LEDs last for thousands of hours before burning out and will not break on impact like a tungsten filament.
