emergency lights

I am used to blackouts. I lived in a third world country and power outrages are nothing new. We got so used to blackouts so we make sure to always have emergency lights on hand. We have them in our apartment building, in the hallways and in the lobby. Each apartment had them. They turned on immediately after the lights went out.

Some other forms of emergency lights are handy flash lights. There are all kinds of flash lights; the most popular ones are those that have batteries. There are also emergency lights that you can plug to the wall when there is electricity and when there is none, the batteries are used. The batteries are actually being charged when they are plugged to the wall. When all of these fails, you can always use candles. Good thing candles nowadays are scented and come in several sizes – they can even last for days.
