wireless motion sensor alarm
Technology has made it easier for us citizens to make sure our homes are safe and hazard free. One example of such application was in a house featured in the show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” One family had a son who was autistic and blind, and keeping him safe and preventing him from wandering around was a challenge.
The house was fitted with a wireless motion sensor alarm placed in key sections of the house. Whenever the son tried to break free from a room, especially at night, the alarm would set out a visual and audible alarm to notify the parents. The alarm would also lock doors and windows automatically, preventing him from getting any further. The locks have a code that the parents have to key in to disable, and it also has an auto-lock feature that enables the locks after a certain time has lapsed. The sensor alarm was definitely a big help to the family.
